George Boleyn by savivi George Boleyn by savivi
This is a study of George Boleyn.

:iconsuburbanbeatnik: can tell you that his hair took on many forms before this final Beatles coif.

His clothing is not accurate, unfortunately, but I'm pleased with his face.

I'm not sure I could have resisted the charms of this manslut had I lived at court at the time. Sigh! Poor Jane Parker. The more I learn about her and her tragic husband, the more I pity her.

It's gorgeous! And the clothes aren't all that inaccurate- I was just being nitpicky. :)

I'm digging the descriptions I'm seeing in the other comments. This project is going to rock!

Haha, nitpicky is good, though! I learn something.

And I'm excited, too. Still only half finished inking with the full picture.... I think I'm going to keep going with the blue, gold, black look.

Awesome work! Wasn't he Anne's brother, whom she was accused of having an incestuous relationship?

Yay, I got it right! I LOVE history, so I have a whole bunch of random stuff in my brain. One reason why I want to get my PhD in archaeology.

I agree with everyone else that the coloring is both fascinating and unique. Well done! Nicely chosen, and it hints at the break of dawn or something like that. ;-)

I'm afraid I don't know much about George Boleyn. Was he the brother of Anne that she was accused of having incestuous relations with?

Thanks!

You're right! He was Anne's brother -- the charges were obviously trumped up. Henry was a wicked, wicked, scary, nasty man.

Poor boy.

I love the coloring and the style of this. George is so often overlooked, which is sad. He was an... interesting... person. *Pats poor Jane Parker on the head.*

LOL no, I was just thinking of how he really was known as a rake, and possibly a mysoginist, given the literature he read.

Hahaha, okay, gotcha. -.^
Really? Hmm... that I didn't know! (The mysoginist/literature part.) Please, fill me in! If you feel it'll take to long, you can also note me if you feel the need. But I'm curious now.

Also... what's a mysoginist? *Hides under rock.*

Actually it's really misogynist -- and it's someone who hates women.

And there isn't a lot out there on George, but you can always google! I need to keep some secrets up my sleeve for a future date ;)

Oh my, what an exquisite coloring job you've done and what a great color choice. It just makes him look like a shiny gold icon at sunset. Glimmering and and tempting, but with this kind of malicious, sensuality that you should not ignore.

I'm really in love with this piece. I'm not lip-servicing you on this, he's amazing!
